Grand finale of the German Pumptrack Series 2025: On 18 October, Erlangen will be the venue for the overall victory of the first nationwide pumptrack series. But the first 7 stations have already thrilled entire cycling families. Here are the best pictures!
This is a race format that attracts the whole family to the starting block: the age groups of the first German Pumptrack Series ("GPS") range from 5-year-old wheel riders (Mini class) to highly motivated 65-year-olds (Masters 2). The total of 8 races take place on professionally designed pump tracks throughout Germany, sponsors donate generous prizes and participation is free!
The organisers and the volunteer clubs have been highly satisfied with the first edition of this series so far. A total of 800 racers have taken part in the pump track tour through the country so far and now the finale is coming up on 18 October on the large pump track facility of the RC50 Erlangen. Not only will the individual races be judged here, but the overall winners of the series will also be determined in front of a loud crowd of spectators.
The aim of the pump track race is to negotiate the course as quickly and smoothly as possible - without pedalling. The elements of the track are negotiated solely by shifting weight and dynamic body movements. BMX bikes, dirt bikes, mountain bikes and even balance bikes for the little ones are permitted.
The race schedule: Depending on the age group, each racer completes two to three individual timed laps, with the fastest lap being counted towards the overall ranking. You can register for each individual event, participation in the entire series is not compulsory.
