The young e-bike brand Aventon has opened its first flagship showroom in Germany. At the new Munich location, visitors can not only view the full range but also test ride the bikes.
Aventon has now established a physical presence in Germany. On 19 August, the Californian e-bike brand opened its first dedicated showroom in Munich’s Westend district – and celebrated the occasion in style with an opening party, where members of the press, retail partners and invited guests had the chance to take a closer look at the range of models and meet the German team in person.
The address: Ganghoferstraße 66, right in the heart of Munich’s lively Westend district. What’s on offer: the full Aventon range – from urban e-city bikes and e-trekking bikes right through to e-mountain bikes. Everything is on display for you to try out; nothing is hidden behind glass. Knowledgeable staff are on hand to offer advice, take their time and help you find the right model. And if you’d prefer to take a spin around Munich first before making a decision, simply book a test ride via aventon.de/pages/testride-im-aventon-showroom.
The test rides take you right through the city centre – real-world conditions, a genuine riding experience, not just a showroom display in fine weather. Spontaneous visits without prior booking are, of course, just as welcome.
Showroom Manager Patrick von Loringhoven sees the new space as much more than just a sales area. It is intended to be “a meeting place for the community” – a physical hub for a brand that has, until now, operated primarily online. And that’s not just an empty phrase: the showroom has been deliberately designed to be open and inviting, encouraging visitors to linger and bringing together people who share a common passion – a love of cycling. After all, Aventon is committed to an omnichannel approach: a direct-to-consumer online shop, nationwide service and test stations at specialist retailers – and now, too, a real home in Munich.
Founded in 2013 in Brea, California, out of a passion for cycle racing, Aventon has long since become one of the most sought-after e-bike brands in North America. With in-house expertise in software, hardware and manufacturing – vertically integrated, as they like to say in Silicon Valley jargon. With its Munich showroom, the company is demonstrating that Germany is not merely a footnote in its expansion plans, but a serious next step.
