A visit to marathon world champion Lakata
He is nicknamed the "Albanator", is a three-time world champion in the MTB marathon and lives in East Tyrol: Alban Lakata is one of the stars of the long distance. We paid him a visit.

Last week, marathon world champion Alban Lakata alongside his team partner Kristian Hynek through Colombia. At the "La Leyenda des Dorado" stage race, Lakata collected valuable training kilometres in the high altitudes of the Andean country for the World Championships in September. Because at the Marathon World Championships at the foot of the Three Peaks (15 September 2018 in Misurina-Auronzo) the East Tyrolean wants to defend his rainbow jersey. We visited Alban Lakata in his home country and spoke to him about the fascination of the marathon, pain during the race and Facebook.
