The FSA Bike Festival in Riva 2025 has opened its doors wide to cycling fans from all over the world until Sunday. Under the motto "Riding Freedom", the 31st edition of the event is offering a varied programme of bike-related events until 3 May.
Visitors will have the opportunity to test the latest bikes from over 350 brands, take part in guided tours through the much-loved landscape of Garda Trentino and experience various side events.
The official opening took place on Thursday (1 May) at 11 am. FSA project manager Giorgio Marra and Silvio Rigatti, President of the Garda Dolomiti S.p.A. tourism company, cut the symbolic ribbon together, heralding the start of the festival.
Marra emphasised the importance of the event in his opening speech: "Our tip for everyone coming to the festival: Definitely check out the stands, but above all, grab a bike and explore the fantastic cycle paths around Riva del Garda - they are some of the most beautiful in the world."
Uli Stanciu, founder of the Bike Festival, emphasised the hospitality of the region and summed up the atmosphere with the words "Vino, cappuccino, spaghetti - that's what it's all about".
A special focus of this year's edition is on the new festival location and the future of biking. Oskar Schwazer, General Manager of the Garda Dolomiti S.p.A. tourism association, was delighted with the response: "We have done everything we can to make this edition the best ever. We are convinced that we will not only test the best bikes, but that we will have a lot of fun together. I'm delighted that we've managed to get the platform so polished this year. To see how many people are here after just one hour makes us proud."
One of the highlights of the opening day was the presentation of the Bike Festival Awards 2025, where a renowned jury of experts evaluated the submitted candidates according to the criteria of "Technological Innovation", "Overall Technological Equipment", "Appearance" and "Design".
In the "Best MTB Fully" category, the Scott Spark RC World Cup through. The prize for the best E-MTB fully was won by the S-Works Turbo Levo 4 from Specialized. In the "Best Gravel Bike" category, Scott was once again able to impress with the Scale Gravel. A special prize for the bike with the most innovative function was awarded to the S-Works Turbo Levo 4 from Specialised.
In addition to the opportunity to test the latest bikes, the festival offers an extensive supporting programme. Visitors can take part in guided tours powered by Mmove and explore the unique landscape of Garda Trentino.
There will also be numerous side events such as expert talks and the SICK! Show - powered by Bikeflip Marketplace. On the evening of the opening day, the Red Bull Summer Vibes Party, organised for the first time, ensured a great atmosphere among the festival visitors.
Further highlights are planned for the coming days. On Friday, the Maxxis Gravel Garda Trentino and the Bosch eMTB Challenge are the first races on the programme. Saturday will be the sporting highlight of the festival with the Bike Marathon, in which UCI professionals will also be taking part.
