How marvellous! The weather forecast promised showers and cooler temperatures for the third day of our BIKE Festival - but the participants of the rides were served up a few drops and plenty of sunshine. In the morning, the riders for the Bosch E-MTB Challenge set off with plenty of motivation, humour and hopefully also plenty of skills for the difficult passages that had to be ridden flawlessly. Steep, blocked, loose ground. An E-MTB rider has to master all of this if they want to stand on the podium at the end.
This year, for the first time, there was also a gravel lap at the BIKE Festival in Riva: the Specialized Lake Bash. Instead of a mass start, everyone could roll off in a time slot. It was all about the watt power on the pedals in the timed segments that had to be mastered on the course. In between, there was also time for a typical gravel meeting at the food station with a relaxed chat.
At the BIKE Academy on Sunday, interested visitors were also able to learn a lot about the finer points of a bike drive, the braking system or what you should pay attention to with tubeless tyres. Some of our speakers were in dialogue with individuals long after the session.
The day ended with Apetrap - cover rock at its best. The greatest rock hits were played into the sunset on the lake with so much pressure that the evening - as always - passed far too quickly.
