The BIKE Festival Leogang is all about less dawdling and more thrills. The Leogang Bike Park is ready and waiting – with a host of runs, including the original UCI Downhill World Cup course. At the expo site, you can hire everything from complete bikes to shoes and protective gear and test them out straight away.
Instead of taking place in September as usual, this year’s BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang will be held around Unity Day (2–4 October 2026). And according to weather statistics, the weather is supposed to be particularly stable at this time of year – so conditions couldn’t be better.
The final round of the Auner Austrian Gravity Series takes place during the BIKE Festival in Saalfelden Leogang. The race series is renowned for its blend of challenge and riding enjoyment, offering up-and-coming riders, ambitious racers and passionate downhill fans the ideal opportunity to compete on a world-class track.
Leogang will not only host the series grand final, but will also see the Salzburg and Tyrolean regional championships decided. The races will take place on the spectacular courses: Bongo Bongo, T-LINE by GoPro and Mini Speedster.
The V-Pace Kids’ Cup focuses on the next generation. Once the race numbers have been handed out, children and parents can explore the course on foot during a track walk. Afterwards, everyone gathers for a welcome session at the ‘Riders’ Meeting’. This is followed by a training session, before things get serious and the starting signal sounds. Then it’s time to race downhill on a simple, age-appropriate downhill course – against the clock.
The focus is on the experience – the kids should have fun and enjoy the action, meet fellow cycling enthusiasts and make new friends, whilst getting used to competitions in a playful way. Everyone wins, and the three fastest even get gold, silver and bronze.
The idea behind the BIKE Festival in Saalfelden Leogang is that you can hop straight onto the lift and choose from a wide range of trails. So, rather than just wearing yourself out walking around the festival site, you can get on your bike yourself.
Anyone fancying a break can explore the latest products and innovations at the Expo site – or, ideally, hire a test bike and try it out straight away on the trails.
We look forward to seeing you. Please make sure you note the date in your diary: 2 to 4 October 2026.
