From 1.9. to 4.9.2021, the 29th edition of the Eurobike will take place in Friedrichshafen. These are the key dates, which thus remain in the often proven, often criticised time slot in late summer. During these days, however, trade fair visitors will be offered many remarkable conceptual innovations.
First of all Only the first two days of the fair are purely for trade visitors. The Friday, 3.9.2021 becomes a Mixed trade visitor and end customer day. The Saturday is then as Pure public day with festival character, events, racing events and test and hands-on offers designed. On the day before Eurobike, Tuesday 31 August, the summit meeting at Lake Constance will kick off with an extensive live and digital programme for international media representatives, institutions, associations and politicians shortly before the federal elections.
"With Eurobike 2021, we are focussing on the established industry date and responding to the loud call from many customers for an even stronger end customer approach. With the mix of international B2B platform and end customer festival, we are continuing Eurobike's success with the unique selling point of the international meeting point, including diversity in terms of manufacturers and products as well as a unique atmosphere," explains Director Stefan Reisinger. "Our scheduling serves as a constant in and after the coronavirus period. The later date also means that our global customers have more opportunities to participate."
Perhaps the bigger surprise is the announcement of an upstream "Eurobico - Order & Preview Show". This will take place from Saturday, 24 July to Monday, 26 July 2021 for the first time as a B2B and media event at the exhibition grounds in Frankfurt am Main.
Bico track suppliers and selected complete wheel manufacturers, specialist dealers from the DACH market and trade journalists will kick off the 2022 order season here and take a look at the new products for the coming model year. "With the combination of trade/order fair and media event, we are offering a new trade fair platform at the right time for complete wheel manufacturers and specialist dealers. We are deliberately limiting the number of exhibitors and visitors in order to guarantee a high chance of realisation with a manageable number of participants, especially from German-speaking countries, also with regard to the effects of coronavirus," says Stefan Reisinger.
Jörg Müsse, Managing Director of Bico Zweirad Marketing GmbH adds: "It was time to take the very successful BIKE&CO-Orderdays to a new level. In co-operation with Eurobike, Bico can now meet the demand from brand manufacturers for a central location with sufficient space. Messe Frankfurt also offers us all the necessary options for the future." The new "Eurobico Order & Preview Show" event will also include the Urban Mobility Media Days, at which the bicycle will take centre stage in the media as an increasingly electrically powered mobility solution of the future.
The trade fair season kicks off with the VELOBerlin On the weekend of 8 and 9 May 2021, VELOBerlin will be completely relocated to the outdoor areas of Tempelhof Airport to ensure that it can be held safely. This is where the trade fair's test and show programme already took place in the previous edition. Exhibitor stands will be added to the area in 2021. Looking ahead to the new season, Stefan Reisinger explains: "In terms of dates, concept, target group approach and location, all of our Eurobike events will be positioned differently in 2021. This allows us to cover the range of industry requests we receive in the best possible way and enables us to create customised customer solutions."
