Fox has added a new model to its Union boot range. This Union boot, featuring the new BOA L6 dial closure, a Power Velcro strap and a stiffening plate, is set to delight downhill cyclists. For clip-in enthusiasts only.

Fox is launching the Union Clipless. The shoe combines a welded TPU/ripstop upper with the new BOA L6 dial and Power Strap for a secure fit. An integrated stiffener is designed to improve power transfer, whilst the Ultratac rubber sole provides grip. The shoe is available in four colours and costs €179.99.

​The new Fox Union replaces the previous version with laces – although the high-quality model with the dual BOA system remains in the range. The design and materials remain the same as before: TPU reinforcements in ripstop fabric, as seen on current and previous models. A new addition is a BOA L6 fastening, which complements the existing Velcro fastening.

The aim of the redesign was to improve the fit and offer more precise adjustability – a request that Fox athletes had clearly expressed in their feedback. The shoe is designed exclusively for clipless pedals; a flat-pedal version is not available in this configuration. In terms of price, the new Union is positioned below the dual-BOA model.

The upper of the Union Clipless is made from a welded combination of TPU and ripstop fabric. A moulded toe cap provides protection against stone chips. The Power Strap works in conjunction with the BOA L6 dial, which is designed to allow for micro-adjustments whilst riding.

BOA system and stiffening plate

The BOA L6 system can be turned in both directions and promises precise fit adjustments. A moulded stiffening plate inside the shoe is designed to improve power transfer to the pedals whilst also providing comfort when pushing. Fox offers two arch options – for high and low arches.

Sole and compatibility

The Ultratac rubber compound in the outsole is designed to provide durability and grip. The 2-bolt cleat system is compatible with all standard pedal systems. The Union Clipless is available in Purple Dusk, Vintage White, Dark Shadow and Black Lime. Sizes range from EU 38 to 47.
