James, a globetrotter from the UK, set his mind to designing sunglasses himself. Ten years later, the business is booming. The Diabolo goggle is his classic full of clever features, ridden by Adolf Silva, the Ruso-Bros, Ben Deakin & Co. Price: 70 euros.
REACT Sight 2.0
The Swiss at it again! The Swiss label React has invented a tint adjustment system called Shade-Tronic. It aims to be much faster than Photocromic. In 0.1 seconds, the glasses darken from 30 % light transmission to just 5 %. When the sun is gone, the tint can be switched off completely. So much high-tech costs. Price: from 379 euros.
SWEET PROTECTION Firewall
Retro is in! Freeriding like James Bond actor Roger Moore skis in Moonraker: 70s style! It works with the firewall. Maximum field of vision, beautifully mirrored so that nobody can see your startled eyes when you drop. There is a lot of high-tech in the lens, which is why the replacement lens costs almost as much as the whole goggle. Price: 60 euros >> available here.
NAKED The Troop Bike
Frameless design, large field of vision and a pin change system that makes changing lenses easy. The Austrian eyewear label gave its extroverted team rider Stevie Schneider these signature goggles with a king cobra on the strap. If it's rubbish, get in touch with Stevie. We also use the Accuri all the time. We appreciate the wide field of vision, the easy handling and the fact that the goggle sits close to the face without any aquarium effect. The Accuri is a classic from the motocross label from California. It is available in many styles and even with a photochromic lens that adapts to the light conditions.
