The PureVue MTB glasses for the 50th anniversary are an anniversary edition that combines innovative technologies and a well thought-out design. The lenses of these cycling goggles are designed to offer maximum clarity and ensure the best vision even in unpredictable light and trail conditions.

As Ryan Van Noy, Senior Designer for Performance at Fox Racing, emphasises: "As with most design briefs at Fox, we took a unique approach to trail-specific eyewear that is authentic to our brand. PureVue was born out of a rider's requirement for MTB goggles to provide additional safety and a wider field of vision. Similar to what you would find in goggles for full face helmets, but specifically for trail riding experiences, including uphill functionality. The increased airflow combined with a seamless fit for an open face helmet, as in the Fox Speedframesimply leads to more confidence on the bike.

PureVue glasses are characterised by three main features: the straps, the frame and the lenses.

The goggle straps of the PureVue goggles are light, soft and stretchy. They offer a secure hold on the helmet thanks to the silicone on the inside. The goggle straps are also adjustable. The frame of the Fox MTB goggles is made of injection-moulded plastic, which makes it both light and strong. The large, wide-open ventilation slits at the top and bottom of the goggles ensure optimum air circulation. These ventilation slots, combined with an anti-fog coating, ensure that the PureVue does not need to be removed while driving. On the back of the frame is a three-layer face foam that ensures the goggles stay in place while being soft, comfortable and protective.

Fox PureVue goggles with different lenses for the trail

The Fox PureVue glasses are supplied with two sets of lenses: one clear and one tinted. There are three different options for the tinted lenses: normal grey, gold mirror lenses and the Vivid lens. Fox's Vivid lenses are the highest quality option as they block the light spectrum that occurs when the sun is low in the sky. This allows riders to see the terrain more clearly, even in the morning, evening or winter. All lenses have a toric shape, i.e. both horizontally and vertically curved, which offers optimum vision and avoids distortion. They should be easy to replace. The nose bridge can also be removed for a more open feeling when wearing the glasses.
