Mountain biking often involves riding over scree, sticks and stones. What mountain bikers then need is reliable equipment - and they must always have a clear view. The new "Pathline Pro" cycling goggles from Evil Eye are designed to make this even easier. The Austrian manufacturer has integrated a number of features into the new sunglasses.

Pathline Pro cycling glasses: the features

  • The so-called sweat bar is designed to protect the eyes from dust and sweat. The cycling goggles also offer the option of adjusting the angle of the goggles. This should ensure an optimum fit. The sweat bar can be removed if you want to take it easy off the trail.
  • The ventilation system is designed to improve air circulation and ensure that vision is clear and the lens does not mist up - even when you're working up a sweat on the mountain.
  • The lens lock system has a tilting mechanism that is designed to make it easier to change lenses. It should be possible to change the lens in just a few seconds depending on the light conditions. Interchangeable lenses are available in 14 different filter colours. All filter colours can also be ground to the individual prescription.
  • A scale structure at the temple ends is designed to ensure a secure and non-slip fit.

Evil Eye Pathline Pro: New filter technology

Evil Eye cites the new patented Light Stabilisation Technology (LST), which is said to make the filters unique, as a major strength of the new Pathline Pro cycling glasses. The 14 different filter colours are designed to suit every lighting condition, depending on the incidence of light. The "LST" is designed to enhance contrasts so that obstacles such as roots or bumps can be recognised immediately on the MTB. The filter technology is also designed to make it easier for the eye to recognise rapid changes in light and shadow. The new filter technology is designed to reduce the intensity of bright sunlight.

Two world champions and the Pathline Pro sunglasses

This year's E-Mountainbike Cross-Country World Champion Joris Ryf has already worn the new cycling glasses on his trail rides. Even on Nicole Göldi, E-MTB world champion in 2021 and 2022Pathline Pro sunglasses were already in use.

What is the same for both professional and amateur riders: impacts, dirt, sweat - when mountain biking, sports equipment is exposed to extreme conditions. With the Pathline Pro, however, every single part of the goggles can be reordered if required. All individual parts are manufactured entirely at the production site in Linz. Evil Eye wants to guarantee long-lasting quality.
