When it's raining and cold in autumn, bikers need reliable equipment. With these six products, everyone can hit the ground running in the cold season.

Topics in this article

Rule number 1 when biking in autumn and winter: Try NOT to get dirty. In other words: ride through puddles and don't be coy. Once you've overcome this hurdle, you're guaranteed to have a lot of fun. However, this requires the right clothing and equipment.

  • Warm and moisture-repellent clothing
  • Helmet caps are not sexy, but they protect your ears and head from the cold
  • Gloves, this is where the cold is most noticeable. Make sure you choose gloves that still provide sufficient grip. We recommend the Brisker from 100%, for example. A complete Winter glove test you can read here.
  • Goggles protect your eyes from splashes of dirt, mud and stones. Tinted glasses are rarely any good in winter, especially in the dark forest, as they restrict your vision. Clear lenses are better.
  • A light and mudfender on the bike make it suitable for winter riding. Soft ground allows less tyre pressure and guarantees more grip. Hobby bikers do not need rain or mud tyres.
