The RCR-R 2 Bibshorts from Van Rysel is aimed at ambitious female road cyclists and is designed for riding in warm temperatures. With their lightweight and breathable construction and tight cut, the trousers are designed to fit like a second skin and support an aerodynamic riding position.
A key feature and an absolute exception at this price is the Elastic Interface Paris HP Women seat pad, which has been specially developed for the female anatomy. Thanks to high-density inserts in the seat area, it offers reliable cushioning and comfort for rides of up to around six hours. The perforated structure is also designed to improve ventilation and reduce moisture and heat build-up.
The bib shorts have no irritating inner seams, which reduces friction and significantly increases comfort. Silicone grippers on the leg cuffs ensure a secure fit, preventing slippage and keeping the fit stable even during intense exertion.

Visually, the trousers are a real eye-catcher: the grey fabric in combination with the pink print is a real eye-catcher and stands out from the standard look. On the bike, they impress with a pleasantly snug fit on the legs. The comparatively long trouser legs are reliably held in place by vertical silicone strips without being uncomfortable.
The clear compromise is the handling during the pee break: the trousers are not pee-friendly, which means a little more effort on the go. On the other hand, the overall package fits all the better on the bike. When stationary, the padding initially seems a little unconventional, protruding slightly at the back and also protruding slightly at the sides at the front - however, this impression is completely relativised in the riding position, where everything sits harmoniously and comfortably.
However, the straps are a little tight, at least on our comparatively small tester, who is 1.60 metres tall. If you are sensitive to pressure in the shoulder area, you should definitely try them on first.
The bottom line is a clear recommendation for all those who are looking for attractively priced trousers with a strong look and don't count seconds when taking a pee break.
