With the Pushrack V3 bike rack, Push Components is introducing the latest generation of its modular rear-mount bike rack system for campervans. The system has been completely redesigned and is aimed at campers and van life enthusiasts who want to transport their bikes safely whilst saving space. The carrier is based on a vertical transport concept, in which the bikes are hooked onto the handlebars and carried in an upright position. This arrangement allows for particularly efficient use of space at the rear of the vehicle and thus differs fundamentally from conventional horizontal carrier systems.
The Pushrack system is fitted to existing Airline, Thule or Fiamma rails, which are either fitted as standard in many campervans or can be retrofitted. This mounting method ensures a secure connection between the rack and the vehicle, which is designed to hold up reliably even during off-road driving.

Single-item dispensing and anti-theft protection
A key advantage of the Pushrack V3 over conventional horizontal bike racks is the ability to remove bikes individually. With many conventional systems, you often have to remove several bikes to get to a specific one. The Pushrack, on the other hand, allows access to each individual bike without having to move the others. This feature proves particularly practical in everyday camping situations, when not all bikes are needed at the same time. In addition, the system offers a separate anti-theft lock for each bike being transported. Each bike can be secured against unauthorised access on the rack, independently of the others. Editorial assessment
With the updated V3 version, the Push-Rack system has become even smarter. All bikes can be removed from the vehicle individually, and the universal bike holders now fit all tyre widths without the need for any modifications. Perhaps the most important point of all: with this bike rack, access to the rear of the vehicle remains completely unobstructed.
There are downsides, however: loading heavy e-bikes is definitely a struggle. And, even though the system is approved for up to 25 kilos per bike, users should keep an eye on the tailgate from time to time. In modern campervans in particular, tailgates are often relatively large and heavy. The hinges are already bearing the weight of the tailgate itself. Additional loads can increase wear and tear in the long term.
