The new Air Atlas UAP from Limar comes with a removable UAP rear spoiler, which is designed to direct the airflow around the rider's head. The aero helmet is suitable for racing bikes and fast gravel rides.

The Italian manufacturer Limar further developed the Air Atlas UAP from the existing Air Atlas shell. The company analysed the helmet's behaviour in the airflow at various speeds and usage scenarios. The development department focussed on the aerodynamics and the ventilation system. The UAP attachment is removable.

Our assessment

The first question that comes to mind is: Does that make sense? Don't you always want to be aero? At the same time, by removing the rear spoiler, you can turn the extravagant helmet into one that attracts less attention. The FidLock magnetic fastener is practical and can also be operated easily with one hand.

Adjustment system and rear attachment

According to the manufacturer, the UAP extension is designed to control the airflow at the back of the head and reduce turbulence. Limar tested the design in the wind tunnel and on the road. The Air Fit Evo adjustment system is located inside the helmet, while the Fidlock magnetic fastener replaces the classic click fastener. The helmet is based on the Air Atlas UFO shape, which Limar had already developed for ventilation and comfort.

Air Atlas UAP x Reverb

The Air Atlas UAP x Reverb is being released as a special edition alongside the standard model. Its colour finish is based on the design of the team clothing and features dynamic lines across the entire surface of the helmet. The pattern represents sound waves and combines technical performance with the team identity. Both versions will be available from the end of March 2026.
