YT Industries entered the bike scene just seven years ago. The gravity label from Forchheim has since specialised in enduro, downhill and dirt. After the introduction of the YT Capra AL For 2016, the direct mail order companies have now also presented the other bikes for the coming season: the Capra CF and the downhiller Tues in carbon and aluminium. The 2016 bikes have not only been given a new look, but also fresh suspension. In addition to Rock Shox suspension, YT is also using suspension forks and shocks from Fox for the 2016 model year.
In 2016, the top models will be offered with Fox suspension. The Fox components should be of particular interest to racers and ambitious riders with their many tuning options in terms of rebound and compression damping. The "Pro" models are fully trimmed for racing in terms of specs. However, it's not just the features of the YT models that have been refreshed, but also the look of the bikes. For example, the Capra CF and the Tues 2016 will be racing through the woods with a fresh design. The focus is on a clear look and new colour combinations.
The carbon version of the versender enduro bike will be available in three equipment variants: The two Pro models are equipped with a Fox 36 Float Factory suspension fork and a Fox Float X2 Factory rear shock, which offers sensitive racers and trail surfers a wide range of tuning options. The Capra CF Pro goes one better in terms of suspension travel: a whopping 180 mm at the front and 170 mm at the rear are available. This means that the Pro version is ideally equipped for rough terrain and bike park use.
The top model - the Capra CF Pro Race - on the other hand, is dedicated to uncompromising racing. In addition to the Fox 36 fork and the Float X2 shock, the absolute equipment highlights are the carbon wheels from DT Swiss, the carbon handlebars from Renthal and the superb Guide Ultimate stoppers from Sram. This brings the weight of the € 4999 Capra CF Pro Race down to 12.8 kg. However, the Comp version of the Capra CF has nothing to hide: The combination of Rock Shox Lyrik RCT3 and Monarch Plus RC3 irons away thick rocks, root carpets and metre-high drops in equal measure. 1x11 drivetrains are standard on all three Capra CF bikes.
Further developing Tues was a real challenge for YT. The colleagues at FREERIDE had already certified a rosy future for the predecessor in the test. The Tues is now a mature downhill bike with character that can do everything from bike park to downhill racing and can even handle the monster jumps at the FEST Series or the Rampage. In 2016, the Tues CF Pro will roll out on new suspension: The Fox 40 Float Factory fork and the Fox Float X2 Factory shock make a classy team which, in combination with the robust attachments, is a faithful companion for bike park visits or the next race: carbon wheels, carbon fibre cranks and handlebars push the weight (15.4 kg) and keep the speed high. The Tues CF Comp is equipped with the Rock Shox Boxxer Team combination and the Vivid R2C.
For gravity and bike park fans on a tighter budget, YT also offers the Tues with an aluminium frame. The € 2299 big bike offers a well-equipped entry into the downhill business.
