Trek wants the Remedy 9.7 with a carbon main frame and aluminium rear triangle in the long term, we were told when we asked. All the better, because this makes the already exciting bike even more attractive. Sit on it and feel good, the testers noted in the report after the first runs on the Remedy. The rear suspension and fork work sensitively and offer a lot of comfort. With the shock setup for the 70-kilo rider, however, we had to run the rebound completely open. The steering angle and bottom bracket height can be adjusted using a flip chip. In the low setup, the centre of gravity is very low, but unfortunately the bottom bracket is also dangerously low. So you have to be careful where you crank and where you prefer to roll. Uphill, the low weight due to the carbon main frame is impressive. Without a shock platform, the rear triangle tends to pump when pedalling. The workmanship of the frame is impressive.
The Trek Remedy 9.7 is one of the strongest in the enduro comparison, both uphill and downhill, and is the winner among the specialised brands.
The alternativeThe cheaper alternative before the price reduction was the Remedy 8 with aluminium frame, which also costs 2999 euros.
