The Patrol is the enduro weapon of the Canadians. It has 155 millimetres of suspension travel at the rear and 160 millimetres at the front. Last year, Transition already gave the 27.5-inch enduro bike a carbon frame. For the next season, the Canadian developers only changed the rocker so that it harmonises with the new metric shocks. Both the carbon fibre and aluminium chassis will come with the new rocker in 2017.
Buyers can choose between four aluminium models and three carbon versions of the Patrol. The frames are also available to buy individually. The prices of the complete bikes range from 3100 to 9000 dollars.
The Scout closes the gap between the Enduro and the 29er trail bike Smuggler. With 27.5-inch wheels, 125 millimetres of rear suspension travel and 140 millimetres at the front, the Scout is also aimed at trail bikers. The geometry of the Scout is modern: 432 millimetres reach in frame size M, 67 mm head angle and short chainstays with a length of 425 millimetres.
The Transition Scout carbon frame should weigh 2.45 kilograms with shock in size large. Depending on the set-up, a bike weighing less than 12 kilograms should be possible. The frameset costs 3000 dollars, the complete bikes with carbon frames start at 5100 dollars.
