Lightweight carbon parts were Markus Storck's speciality back in the early 90s. So it's no wonder that the Frankfurt-based developer's latest e-MTB creations also stand out first and foremost for their low weight. The e:drenic.2 with a new Shimano motor and 630 battery relies on solid add-on parts such as a Fox 38 and a thick DPX2 shock. With 170/160 millimetres of travel, it lands squarely in the enduro category. But the weight of 22.07 kilos is really good. Even the brand-new Levo from Specialized weighs more - and costs a sinfully expensive 14,000 euros. The fact that Storck's price remains reasonable for a high-end boutique brand is also due to the new sales channel, as the Hessian company now sells directly to the end customer.
The test costs 0.99 euros. Why not free of charge? Because quality journalism has a price. In return, we guarantee independence and objectivity. This applies in particular to the tests in EMTB. We don't pay for them, but the opposite is the case: we charge for them - hundreds of thousands of euros every year.
