The special bike: Frace-Bike F160 on test
Bernd Iwanow lives in the East German province. He doesn't ride a mountain bike. But he was determined to invent one. We took the Frace F160 off-road after the lab test.

The weakness of the Frace F160 is revealed as soon as you lift it up and the lab data shows it in black and white: 17 kilos! Too much for an enduro bike. With this weight, ambitions for longer, sporty summit tours are superfluous. But that's not what the Frace is built for. It's more of a robust everyday show bike with a focus on tough descents. The upright riding position fits in perfectly.

The whole story of Bernd Iwanow and his bike production with many detailed photos you can find here ->

We reveal how the Frace F160 performs uphill and downhill in the detailed BIKE lab and practical test. The PDF of the individual test from BIKE 7/2020 is available in the download area below.
