Cube has come up with a number of exciting innovations for its 2022 e-mountainbikes. In the coming model year, the range extends from the moderate Reaction Hybrid hardtail to the Stereo Hybrid 120 comfort fully and the very off-road capable Stereo Hybrid 140 all-mountain to the Stereo Hybrid 160 E-Enduro. We have summarised the innovations in a compact format.
Let's start with the top seller of the Cube e-MTBs, the Stereo Hybrid 140. The carbon main frame has been thoroughly revised. In addition to an optimised, slightly longer geometry, the wall thicknesses have been adjusted. According to Cube, this has resulted in a weight saving of around 14%. The bike has also been given a simple, barely visible stand mount at the dropout. The large 29er wheels have been retained. However, Cube has now fitted 27.5-inch wheels in the XS and S sizes - so the bikes should fit even better for smaller riders. There will be five equipment variants starting at 3899 euros.
The Stereo Hybrid 160 gets the same updates to the frame, i.e. weight optimisation, adapted geometry and also the kickstand mount at the rear. In addition, the kinematics of the rear suspension have been retuned and made more progressive. The E-Enduro continues to roll on 27.5 mm wheels in all sizes and has 170 millimetres of travel at the front and 160 at the rear. It starts at 4099 euros.
The comfortable E-MTB touring bike Stereo Hybrid 120 also has an aluminium frame and 29er wheels. There is also a size split here: Sizes XS and S get smaller wheels in 27.5 inches. The entry-level model costs 3649 euros.
The popular E-Hardtail Reaction Hybrid is available with different motors and three different frame shapes. Low step-through, low top tube or classic MTB geometry. From 17 inches upwards, 29-inch wheels are used, including 27.5-inch wheels. The Reaction Hybrid series comprises a total of seven models with many battery and equipment versions ranging from 2349 to 4099 euros.
