Apart from a few tweakable details, the touring-ready Ridge offers a successful basis for a light and functional enduro bike at a fair price.

With a total weight of 12.6 kilograms, the Ridge is in the top league. However, a closer look at the components reveals the absence of a dropper post and chain guide, which could easily be retrofitted thanks to the ISCG mount. After two punctures on the first descent, the super-light Schwalbe Rocket Ron tyres turned out to be undersized for everyday enduro riding. A little more weight would have been well placed here. Otherwise, the pleasantly manoeuvrable and stiff Stevens impressed us with its surprisingly harmonious suspension, which makes good use of the available suspension travel, and the firmly gripping Formula The One brakes with large discs.
