The price of the Specialized S-Works Enduro is proud: for 13,500 euros you get all sorts of things. Google suggests eleven new bikes. You can get an S-Works bike from Specialized.

Carbon wheels, AXS dropper post, AXS drivetrain and Fox Factory suspension are obligatory at this price. In terms of weight, however, the US brand only manages 2nd place. Rocky Mountain and Salsa are 300 grams lighter. The Specialized S-Works Enduro was last relaunched in 2019 and has already scooped up dozens of test wins. Including ours, but only in this top version. Even the still sinfully expensive 7000 euro model weighs 15.4 kilos (without pedals).

The impression on the descent remains: The Enduro is a revelation and also gives German Enduro champion Texi an aha experience. However, he would have preferred to ride it much harder. With 30% sag in the rear, the bike seemed underchallenged on our test track. Only when it gets really steep and rough is the bike in its element. Here, the bike is extremely good-natured, swallows, damps, buffers and encourages the rider to take their hands off the brakes. Benchmark! Thanks to the light wheels, the bike pedals very well uphill, but the platform function could be better defined.

Conclusion on the Specialized S-Works Enduro:

The S-Works Enduro is a mini big bike. It is the fastest bike in the test. Super comfortable, super good-natured, super fast. The top version is also fun on tours.

Born in South Baden, Laurin Lehner is, by his own admission, a lousy racer. Maybe that's why he is fascinated by creative, playful biking. What counts for him is not how fast you get from A to B, but what happens in between. Lehner writes reports, interviews scene celebrities and tests products and bikes - preferably those with a lot of suspension travel.
