The new Specialized Enduro looks as if it has been cast from a single mould and has all the details that characterise a true enduro bike. And all this at a very attractive weight, although only the Specialized carbon crank differs from the standard equipment of the S-Works model. How is that possible? In addition to the 2350 gram lightweight carbon frame, bike and parts manufacturer Specialized can draw on the full potential when it comes to "system integration". From the wheels, dropper post, saddle and handlebars to the 1890 gram fork, everything is made in-house. Setting up the fork is tricky. Only with a lot of compression damping and low air pressure was the fork able to follow the sensitive rear triangle. In climbing mode, a fork drop of more than 25 millimetres would be better.
CONCLUSIONThe winner of the tuning project. A coherent light enduro concept from front to back with impressive performance and a wide range of applications, albeit at a very high price.
