CONCLUSION: If you want a lightweight, high-performance enduro frame, this bike would be your first choice as a frame kit. As a complete bike, the "Enduro Pro" is not very versatile and suffers from the mediocre tyres.

The Specialized "Enduro" was completely redesigned last year and fitted with in-house suspension elements. It is now entering its second season with a slightly updated model. The Americans have mainly worked on the damping setup of the fork and the shock absorber. Let's start with the basis, the frame: This is and remains the lightest in its class. At 2,669 grams, the enduro chassis wouldn't even have to hide from the marathon league. The rear suspension works optimally, but at 150 millimetres it offers slightly less travel than the competition. This is noticeable in practice with a slightly firmer ride feel. Together with the stiff double-bridge fork, however, this results in a powerful overall set-up. The Enduro rides neutrally on singletrack and also copes well with extreme gravel tracks. One drawback of the system integration is the stem, which is firmly attached to the upper triple clamp. This makes the geometry setup less variable. For example, the steering centre was too high for us, causing the bike to smear over the front wheel when cornering. Another negative point is the tyres: Although the new in-house "Eskar" tyres are better than the previous "Resolution" model, they are clearly inferior to a Schwalbe "Nobby Nic".

TUNING TIP: Fit tyres with better grip.
