It has only been two years since the German distributor Propain relaunched its best-selling Tyee. Now comes an update and a stronger positioning of the bike in the enduro camp. With fresh colours, clever detail improvements and new equipment variants, the Propain Tyee remains true to its roots, but is also intended to be more versatile than before.

The new Propian Tyee: What exactly has changed?
We spoke to Stefan Grüny, PR Manager at Propain, about the Tyee update.
First and foremost, we wanted to simplify assembly. That's why the rear triangle now has a classic brake mount and the cables no longer have to be routed through the headset. That was a real no-go for some customers. - Stefan Grüny, Propain
As with the Spindrift, the Tyee now also offers a choice between classic cable routing through the frame or the Acros solution via the headset cover - both variants are compatible with any stem. If you want to go even cleaner, you can opt for the fully integrated Sixpack cable routing with a CNC-milled stem.

Classic brake mount
With the carbon frames, Propain is going back to the classic brake mount. This should simplify assembly. Previously, the brake mount was located in the frame triangle and had to be repositioned depending on the disc size.

New colours with character
In addition to the details on the cable routing and brake mount, there are also new colours. Three options are available for the carbon and three for the aluminium frame:
Propain Tyee CF: Pigeon Blue, Deep Sea Carbon, Carbon Raw
Propain Tyee AL: Wood Rose, Midnight Blue, Aluminium Raw
Of course, new components are also available for the new build kits. What they all have in common is a clear commitment to more suspension travel. Whereas 160 mm forks were previously available to trim the Tyee in the direction of all-mountain, in future only 170 mm forks will be available.

A clear commitment to the true enduro bike - 38 mm stanchions and various coil shocks are now the order of the day. Upgrades such as an OChain Active Spider or a Trickstuff Direttissima can even be realised in the configurator.
