Even though the rear suspension has a slight influence on the drivetrain, the testers were all over the green speedster before the climb. On the descent, the Acetone had to take a back seat. Rims with a 22.5 millimetre rim width and narrow 2.2 Conti Trailking tyres are quickly overtaxed off-road and do not fit into the enduro genre. Crossing slopes or root patches then become a challenge, with the threat of flat tyres on rough terrain. The geometry of the Poison is harmonious and strikes the right balance between smooth and playful handling. There is also nothing to criticise about the Pike fork. The rear suspension works well, but has problems processing small, fast hits. A shock with a little less compression could help here - Poison's custom programme makes it possible to make equipment changes with little effort.
Conclusion: The geometry of the Acetone is successful. With more powerful tyres, it would have been much better.
The alternative: If you like big wheels, the Acetone is also available as a 29er. However, with just 120 millimetres of suspension travel, it is more of a trail bike.
