First things first: If you just want a solid bike at a good price, you don't need to look around at Pivot. The American luxury manufacturer is one of the truly exclusive brands on the MTB market. And that doesn't change with the new edition of the Pivot Shuttle LT. But if you want to see some really innovative detail solutions - or simply a damn hot and really fast E-MTB - you should definitely read on. Because the new features on the Shuttle LT are more than just a small update.

On the trail, the Predecessor of the Pivot Shuttle LT fully convincing. In 2023, the Shuttle LT, still with a Shimano motor at the time, even secured the Test victory in a high-calibre E-Enduro test field. Always a highlight: the super-balanced DW-Link rear triangle. Of course, Pivot is also sticking to this system for the new edition.

The update to the latest generation of the Bosch Performance CX or CX-R is no surprise. In addition to more power, namely up to 750 W of power and 100 Nm of torque, the new Bosch is also finally rattle-free. The two expensive models feature the slightly lighter CX-R with the aggressive Race mode, while the entry-level model has the classic CX. The Shuttle LT therefore joins the ranks alongside the newly launched Shuttle AM The new Pivot is joining the ranks of Pivot bikes with the new Bosch system.
All Shuttle LT models come ex works with the high-range Powertube 800, previously it was the 750. The new 800 Wh battery is even significantly lighter than its predecessor with only 750 Wh. The even more relevant innovation is that the battery can now be removed and is no longer permanently installed. Although three screws have to be unscrewed for this, the change is quite quick and easy. In addition, the 600 series battery can also fit in the bike if required, which reduces the weight by just under a kilo. A removable battery is not a matter of course in this segment. Regardless of whether Orbea Wild, Yeti LTE, Santa Cruz Bullit or YT DecoyMany competitors have the battery permanently installed in the down tube.
The various adjustment options of the Shuttle LT are an outstanding feature. The option to ride two different wheel size setups (29/27.5" or 29/29") using a flip chip was already available on the predecessor. What is new, however, is the flip chip on the lower shock mount, which can be used to adjust the progression of the rear suspension. There are also two further options for tuning the geometry. The chainstay length can be adjusted by 8 millimetres. And the seat angle can also be set steep or slack using a very special system. This offers experienced bikers in particular the opportunity to customise the bike perfectly to their personal preferences. However, some riders may be overwhelmed by the many options.
While most systems for angle adjustment change several values simultaneously, the Pivot solution takes care of the seat angle in isolation. The seat tube is oval-shaped for this purpose. An insert places the seat post either at the front or rear of the tube. This changes the seat angle on our test bike by almost two degrees.
Pivot has not drastically adjusted the geometry values. The head angle, reach and wheelbase have modern values without drifting into the extreme. The biggest difference to its predecessor is the slightly longer chainstays - even in the shorter setting. Pivot still spares itself the luxury of chainstays that grow with the frame size. The geometry can still be significantly modified using the various customisation options. In particular, the extremely steep seat angle on request is a feature that is definitely not familiar from the previous models.
The extreme adjustment options naturally also have an effect on the riding characteristics. The seat angle adjustment in particular has a massive influence on the riding position. After we had always criticised the somewhat slack seat angle on the previous models - you sat too far back on steep ramps - the riding position in the steep SMST setting is absolutely progressive. You sit very far forward on the bike, which is noticeable on steep climbs with extremely good control. This position can be too extreme for classic tours and flat terrain. In this case, the flatter position provides a remedy.
We mainly rode the Shuttle LT in the setting with long chainstays and high progression in the shock - and found the handling to be really balanced. The high front end characterises the E-Enduro. This means you are well integrated into the bike on the downhill - and the front wheel can be easily relieved. In rough terrain, the Shuttle LT remains composed and conveys a great deal of confidence. The suspension smooths out even the nastiest rock gardens with confidence and suppleness. At the same time, it still gives the rider enough feedback and support, which improves control, especially at sporty and fast speeds. The traction of the bike is remarkably strong. The Fox Podium upside-down fork also plays its part in this.
With all its high-speed power and driving safety, driving fun is not neglected either. Tighter bends, manuals and other off-road tricks are easy to master. You hardly notice the Shuttle LT's higher weight of 24 kilos, as it remains really fun and lively. Both in terms of suspension and handling, the Shuttle LT hits the famous golden mean pretty well - a jack-of-all-trades for ambitious trail and enduro bikers.
The fact that the Shuttle LT cuts a really good figure off-road is nothing new. But with these new features, Pivot is taking its E-Enduro to a new level. The removable battery is rather exceptional in the field of iconic gravity brands and the comprehensive adjustment options make the bike really special. Unfortunately, the entry-level price is really steep. - Florentin Vesenbeckh, Deputy Editor-in-Chief BIKE Magazine
The Pivot Shuttle LT comes in three equipment variants. But even the entry-level model is really expensive. It starts at 9299 euros. Each model comes with the Bosch Powertube 800 ex works, with the most affordable "Ride 70/90 Eagle Transmission" variant featuring the classic Bosch Performance CX, while the two more expensive models, Pro and Team, come with the exclusive CX-R. The Pivot Shuttle LT is available in the colours Black Royal Purple and Stone Cold White in every variant. The optional Bosch Power More 250 Range Extender is available separately for 500 euros or as a factory upgrade.
The Ride Build combines the Bosch Performance Line CX drive with a Fox 38 Performance fork and a Float X shock for optimum control on long climbs and pure riding fun on technical descents.
The Pro Build relies on the Bosch CX-R drive, the brand new Fox Podium upside-down fork and the Performance Elite Float X shock - for a precise, direct steering feel and uncompromising stability when the going gets tough. As is usual with Fox's Performance Elite series, the shock and fork are already at factory level in terms of function and offer extensive adjustment options, including compression damping.
The Team build completes the overall package with the Bosch CX-R motor system, the Fox Factory Podium fork, the Factory Float X2 shock, DT Swiss carbon wheels and the SRAM XX transmission - an uncompromising setup for steep descents, high speed and maximum precision on the most demanding trails. A Fox Live Valve Neo Coil Shock upgrade is also available for the team builds for a further € 1,500.
