The Pivot Enduro E-Bike Shuttle LT 2023 secured the test victory in the exclusive Ami Enduro Shootout 2023 with its lively handling and smooth ride. Now the bike is getting an update and the new Shimano EP801 motor with more power.

When it comes to exclusive high-end bikes from America, there is one brand that should not be missed: Pivot has been building bikes for many years that regularly become the wet dreams of experienced downhill riders. No wonder, because the bikes are not only stylish, light and well-made, but have also impressed in numerous tests with Pivot's own super-strong DW-Link rear suspension system and balanced geometry.

Pivot was particularly quick to embrace the topic of e-bikes. The small brand from Arizona presented the first enduro e-bike Shuttle back in 2017, and last year we were able to see the All Mountain Shuttle AM also its spiritual successor Shuttle LT extensively. The conclusion: A potent E-Enduro with balanced riding characteristics, very strong chassis and top range. In return, it won the test in the exclusive shootout of American high-end enduro bikes in the five-digit price range!

New for 2024: Shimano EP801 motor with more power

The central update for the Shuttle LT is the new EP801 motor from Shimano (click here to test the Shimano EP801). With 600 instead of 500 watts of peak power according to the factory specification, it offers noticeably more vapour than its predecessor, the EP8, and thus almost matches the performance of Bosch's class leader. Performance CX (here is a long-term check of the Performance CX). In addition, the tuning of the EP801 drive has been slightly improved compared to its predecessor.

As before, the energy for the drive comes from a Darfon battery with 756 watt hours. This gives the Shuttle LT a long range, almost on a par with Bosch's super-strong 750 battery, with a slightly lower weight. The sporty EM800 remote including matching display is already familiar from its predecessor. Incidentally, with the EP801 motor, the Shuttle LT is now also compatible with Shimano Auto- and Freeshift functions, with appropriate equipment.
