The Basque bike manufacturer Orbea presents a comprehensive equipment update for its popular E-MTB flagship Wild. New motor options, new display, automatic shifting functions thanks to new Shimano groupsets: Wild buyers can now select all of this in the Spanish company's configurator. The numerous technological improvements are primarily aimed at greater connectivity, higher performance and extended configuration options.

Large screen, lots of information - slimly packaged

A central element of the redesign is the new Bosch Kiox 400C display, which is fitted as standard on the M10, M-Team and M-LTD models. For the M20, the display is available as an optional upgrade for the LED display system controller. According to the manufacturer, the new display enables intuitive operation and shows all relevant driving data in real time. This improves the overall driving experience, as you have access to important information at all times and can easily control the system.

A particular advantage of the new display is its plug & play functionality, which makes it possible to easily retrofit the display to existing Wild models with a Bosch system. Orbea had already provided the frame with a larger hole in the top tube for this purpose at the market launch, when the new display was not yet known. A tactic that many manufacturers have followed in order to be technically up to date.

More power and torque

The 2025 Wild models come with the new Bosch CX Performance motors. And the software update to increase performance has just been rolled out for these. The maximum torque can thus be increased to 100 Nm, while the peak power can be increased to up to 750 watts. The assistance factor reaches a maximum value of 400 per cent. This increase in performance ensures faster and more efficient access to the full system power, which provides a noticeable advantage, particularly on steep climbs and technically demanding trails.

CX-Race motor as a new drive option

If that's not enough, you now also have the option of opting for the Bosch Performance Line CX Race motor in the Wild. This motor is the lightest and most powerful drive in the Bosch portfolio and is fitted as standard on selected models. It is available as an optional upgrade for other variants. The CX-Race motor is specially designed for sporty riders who are looking for maximum performance combined with low weight. It is minimally lighter than the classic CX and also has the aggressive Race mode in its portfolio. However, maximum power and maximum torque do not differ from the classic CX.

Modern shift groups with free-shift function

Orbea has also upgraded the shifting components and now offers Shimano's current DI2 groupsets from the XTR and XT range. Among other things, these offer the innovative Free Shift function, which allows you to change gear without having to pedal. This technology can now also be used with Bosch motors and offers a considerable advantage in technically demanding passages and under high loads, as you can shift to the optimum gear at any time - even when stationary or when rolling over obstacles.

More individualisation for personal requirements

With the new models, Orbea continues to focus fully on customisation options. The various motor options, the optional display and the different equipment variants make it possible to customise the Wild exactly to your personal requirements. Thanks to the improved connectivity with the Bosch Flow app, you can also fine-tune the riding behaviour of your E-MTB and adapt it to different riding situations. The app allows detailed settings for the motor support and gives you the option of saving different riding profiles for different routes and requirements.
