Apparently, the development team from Waldsassen was told that from 2016, there really must be the right E-MTB bike for every type of rider in the shop. To achieve this, the engineers at Cube have equipped the Stereo Hybrid with a wide variety of suspension systems:
The Stereo Hybrid HPA 120 manages 120 mm of suspension travel at the front and rear axle and rolls on either 27.5 or 29-inch wheels (3999 and 4999 euros). The HPA 140 is mounted on 27.5-inch wheels with 140 millimetres of travel. Cube has two equipment variants with normal tyres (4999 and 5999 euros) and a version with the 27.5 plus standard with thick 2.8 tyres on offer for 2016 (4999 euros).
Those with even higher off-road ambitions can tackle technical trails with the genuine electric enduro HPA 160 with 160-millimetre suspension. This version will be available in three equipment variants (4499 to 6499 euros). Depending on taste and riding style, every ambitious e-biker will find the right bike. A great deal of attention has been paid to detail to raise the material to a high level both visually and functionally. The battery merges visually with the down tube and the cable routing looks well thought out and is barely visible in the frame.
Compared to bikes of the current season, the frame, and in particular the rear frame triangle, has been stiffened by shortening the chainstay by 18 millimetres and installing a Boost hub with 148 mm support width.
Cube has opted for the new Bosch 500 watt-hour battery and the CX drive. It is well protected behind an underride guard. An additional guide element is designed to protect against chainsuck on the chain.
Cube is also launching an adventure bike in 2016. The Hybrid Reaction is a four-inch fat bike with suspension fork and remote seat post. It can be retrofitted with a pannier rack if required and is also powered by a Bosch drive. The price is expected to be around 4000 euros.
