Dartmoor is expanding its range for 2017 with the 27.5 enduro bike Blackbird, the plus-size trail bike Bluebird and the hardtail Primal. Bluebird and Primal are compatible with Plus tyres and 29-inch wheels.

With the Blackbird, the Polish developers have created a versatile enduro bike on 27.5-inch wheels. It has 160 millimetres of suspension travel at the front and rear. These are said to be particularly sensitive thanks to the linear set-up. In addition, the steering angle can be flattened from 66 to a modern 65.5 degrees. The rest of the geometry is also up-to-date: long reach and short chainstays (425 millimetres) promise pleasant handling.

There will be two different models. The more expensive Dartmoor Blackbird Pro for 3899 euros has a Rock Shox Pike suspension fork, a Monarch Plus damper and Sram GX/NX shifting mix with eleven gears. The cheaper Blackbird model comes with a Suntour Auron fork, Rock Shox Monarch shock and Sram NX drivetrain. It costs 2799 euros. Both models have a Vario seatpost.

With the Bluebird, Dartmoor is launching a trail fully with 130 millimetres of suspension travel onto the market. The frame and rear triangle construction is similar to that of the Blackbird enduro bike. However, the Bluebird has the Boost standard to accommodate wide Plus tyres. The geometry of the Bluebird is somewhat more agile and less downhill-orientated with a steering angle of 66.5 or 67 degrees.

The Bluebird also comes in two versions: Either as the more expensive Plus version Bluebird 27.5+ Pro with Rock Shox Revelation fork, Monarch shock and Sram NX drivetrain for 2899 euros. Or as the 400 euro cheaper Bluebird 29 version with Rock Shox Sektor Silver suspension fork, Monarch shock and NX drivetrain. Both models have a Kind Shock seatpost with 125 millimetres of travel.

With the Primal, Dartmoor is expanding its fleet with a fun hardtail. It comes with a choice of 140 millimetre suspension fork and plus tyres or 29-inch wheels and a 120 mm fork. However, both have the same geometry: 450 mm reach in large, 430 mm chainstays and 67 mm steering angle.

The more expensive Primal 27.5+ Pro (€ 2099) comes with a 140 mm Revelation fork, Sram NX drivetrain and Vario seatpost. The more affordable Primal 29 has a Rock Shox Recon Silver fork with 120 millimetres of travel and a Sram X5 drivetrain. This costs 1349 euros.
