Moustache 2020: More models, new engines
French e-bike pioneer Moustache is repositioning itself for 2020. New drives from Bosch and models ranging from entry-level bikes to 29-inch enduro bikes are designed to inspire every level of rider.

After "Season Nine" it was over. The series dug its own grave, it ran out of steam on the home straight. At least that's what the critics wrote after the finale of Game of Thrones. E-bike pioneer Moustache is now also entering "Season 9", as the French themselves call their 2020 model range. But the French haven't run out of steam yet, and there's no sign of the end.

New Bosch drives and better battery integration

The main new features for 2020 are the drives. In the E-MTB segment, Moustache is also relying on the new Bosch drive and the battery integrated in the frame with 625 or 500 watt hours, which is now closer to the motor and therefore further down for a low centre of gravity. The geometry has also been fine-tuned in detail. The in-house shock now sits in front of the seat tube and is therefore better protected against dust and mud. The geometries are still pleasing and the suspension should offer enough reserves for 2020 in the All-Mountain and Enduro models when the terrain gets a little rougher.

Application areas for beginners to enduro pros

The product range has also been further differentiated. In addition to classic e-MTBs such as the Samedi 27 Trail, there are now special models designed to make it easier to get into e-MTB sport. For example, the Samedi 27 Wide touring bike with good-natured handling and the Samedi 27 Off hardtails with a step-through option also appeal to E-MTB newcomers. With the Moustache Samedi 26, the French also have a chunky e-bike for children in their programme.

But fast, race-orientated riders have also been taken into consideration and, with the Samedi 29 Game, they have a long-stroke 160 mm enduro bike with 29-inch wheels at their side for the first time, which should also absorb rough impacts at high speeds.

In terms of equipment, Moustache is now increasingly relying on Shimano (also for the brakes, instead of Formula as was often the case previously) and Fox forks. The in-house "Magic Grip Control" rear shock is still used, which is said to have been further improved for the new model year.

All information on the new Moustache bikes will soon be available on the Website of the manufacturer.
