Last Tarvo 29 inch in the FREERIDE check
The Tarvo aims to be the lightest enduro bike in the world and still deliver full downhill performance. It goes without saying that such a potent airhead is expensive.

THE CONCEPT

"Make Enduro great again!" - could have been the motto of the German mail-order company from Dortmund. Because the Last designers remembered the original idea of the Enduro class: one bike for everything. The Last Tarvo wants even more: it wants to be the lightest enduro bike in the world. The carbon fibre frame weighs 2153 grams in size L and the entire 29er bike weighs 12.8 kilos. It is manufactured entirely in Germany. The suspension travel is generous: 160 mm at the rear, 170 at the front - the full suspension is supported by the powerful 29er wheels.

ON THE TRAIL

With its elegant frame shape, the Last is a real eye-catcher. Fast uphill, powerful and safe downhill - these were the goals of the developers. Goals fulfilled! The bike is easy to accelerate and climbs so easily towards the mountain summit that many a trail bike lags behind. The steep seat angle positions the rider far enough forward that even the slack head angle (63.7°) doesn't get in the way on the climbs. Downhill, the Tarvo really comes up trumps with a smooth ride and a sporty, direct feel thanks to the progressive kinematics. For more playfulness, however, we recommend a frame size M for a height of 1.80 metres.

FOR WHOM?

Unfortunately only for weight-sensitive enduro riders with a big wallet. Because lightweight construction and "Made in Germany" cost money. That's why the Tarvo is a feather-light but expensive enduro bike. It perfectly epitomises our understanding of "enduro" and literally screams for alpine tours and epic rides.
