Kona is known for building mountain bikes that are fun to ride, especially downhill. Lightweight construction is not quite the French Canadian's thing. Kona's latest enduro MTB also follows this motto. From 2019, the Process 153 will no longer only roll as a 27.5-inch carbon bike, but also on large 29er wheels. In combination with the long reach (475 mm for size L), the new wheel size should make the Process 153 a high-speed machine on technical trails. The geometry is the same as the 29-inch aluminium Process, only the massive carbon rocker is new. However, the steering angle of 66 degrees, which is not extremely slack, allows the Process to retain a last bit of playfulness. On a first ride, the suspension was extremely sensitive and took on larger rocks without any problems. Despite the carbon frame, the Kona Process 153 CR/DL 29 - the top model in the Process 29 Palette - 14.8 kilos. The new Process is therefore more likely to be satisfied with reaching the top of the trail and let other bikes take the lead on the climbs.
