The name said it all: With its bright red signal colour and the name "Enduro", Ghost's Enduro bike scored top marks in its category in 2005. The successor model has a more muted look and is called "ERT" instead of "Enduro" - there were problems with Specialized regarding the name. But these are the only setbacks we notice on the new Enduro. The progress is visible in the 3D forged rocker, which provides a much more elegant look than the milled part of the previous model. What you can hardly see: The rear suspension kinematics should now be much more progressive. As a result, the suspension should bob less and be less sensitive to bottoming out. The entire suspension has also been redesigned: Instead of Fox, Ghost will be installing Rock Shox components next year. Particularly interesting: the new "Pike U-Turn" air fork at the front.

On the trail, the characteristics known from the predecessor "Enduro" are retained: Thanks to the above-average length of the bike for this frame size, it is extremely stable on the piste. This strength is particularly appreciated on fast gravel descents. The new air suspension elements from Rock Shox are a perfect match in terms of their characteristics and provide plenty of usable suspension travel.

On singletrails and tight trial sections, the "ERT" is far less lively than some of its competitors. But that doesn't have to be a disadvantage, it just requires a little more physical effort. And like its predecessor, the new "ERT" can also score points on the climbs: Thanks to the "U-Turn", the front is quickly lowered - you then have a flawless climbing geometry. Added to this is the low overall weight, which also makes longer tours possible without any problems.

CONCLUSIONS: The "ERT" continues the Ghost Enduro tradition: lots of suspension travel with low weight and high variability. Whether touring, trips to the bike park or freeride adventures - the "ERT" has a huge range of uses. And at a remarkable price.
