Four longtravel enduro bikes in a comparison test
With up to 180 millimetres of suspension travel, long-travel enduro bikes are of the highest calibre. Bike parks, tough trails and drops are no match for these bikes. Four enduro MTBs under 14 kilos in the BIKE test.

Plenty of travel but still light: Canyon Torque, Liteville 601, Pivot Firebird and YT Capra do the honours in our select test field. All the enduro bikes in this test weigh 14 kilos or less without pedals. The prices range from 4999 euros for the Canyon to 8299 euros for the Pivot.

While Liteville and Pivot have long had a bike with extra travel in their range, the sometimes slightly dusty category seems to be experiencing a certain upswing with the new models from Canyon and YT. But what is the most accurate way to describe this category? Even the manufacturers don't really agree on the terminology and the optimum area of use. Liteville speaks of Enduro+, Canyon of Gravity/Freeride, Pivot of Enduro to Park, and YT adds the keywords Racing and Trail to the Enduro term. All clear so far? To get a better overview of the confusing categories, we asked our colleagues from the FREERIDE Magazine for a statement. "For me, these bikes are modern freeriders," summarises editor-in-chief Dimitri Lehner. "The new 180cc bikes can do more downhill than the freeriders of yesteryear and are as light as enduro bikes. So for freeriders, it's the ideal bike for everything."

You can find these longtravel enduro bikes in the test:

  • Canyon Torque CF 9.0 Pro
  • Liteville 601 MK4
  • Pivot Firebird Pro X01 Eagle
  • YT Industries Capra 27 CF Pro Race
