Extreme Enduros: We can do anything!
They have more suspension travel than ever before, are tough and at the same time light and suitable for touring: super enduro bikes have become "extreme enduro bikes". 2011 is definitely the year of Generation X.

We tested the new bike class in the trail paradise of Finale Ligure.

Not long ago, the bike world was still easy to understand: There were enduro bikes (light, firm), freeriders (heavy, soft) and big bikes (really heavy, really soft). But since the Eurobike trade fair in 2010, this view of the world seems to be unhinged. Suddenly, manufacturers are launching bikes that are light and have a lot of suspension travel. In the past, 180 mm travel was only found on freeriders. And weights under 15 kilos only on enduro bikes.

The extreme enduro bikes, or whatever you want to call them, are not only a new bike class, they are also approaching the ideal of "one bike 4 all": you can dare to do stunts with them, take the fat drops in the bike park, but at the same time do without shuttles and mountain railways - because the bikes also crank uphill willingly. In short: we're thrilled, we've been waiting for bikes like this for a long time.
