The new Votec VM Pro impresses with the lowest weight and top equipment. It's clear that this is where the bike supplier flexes its muscles.

But that Votec VM Pro also has an eye for smart details and a good combination of components. For example, there is a spare bolt for the derailleur hanger in the frame and a control window for the maximum extension height in the seat tube. The tyre combination also impresses with a good compromise between rolling resistance and grip, even if the puncture protection is rather average for an enduro bike. But the VM Pro doesn't want to be a true enduro bike either, although it has a very high-quality chassis that is absolutely competitive despite the limited rear suspension travel. In terms of geometry, the Votec is quite tame (in this test field). The 66.5 mm head angle is one of the steeper ones, although there is still the option to slacken it. There is a deduction for the fact that the Votec is significantly shorter in size L, which means it reaches its limit earlier on the descents. Open, the rear suspension tends to pump.

Suspension, equipment and good details give the Votec the test victory. Downhill, however, there are stronger bikes.
