The aggressive team paintwork signals that Cube has paid attention to the finest ingredients and wants to meet the highest demands. In fact, the equipment is pretty flawless: high-quality Fox suspension elements with 160 millimetres of travel, the snappy Magura MT-7 brake system, smart internally routed cables, puncture-proof tyres with plenty of grip, etc. - very good. Only the Bosch-typical XXL display on the handlebars doesn't fit in with the sporty outfit. Rotwild and Specialized prove that there is a more discreet solution. The Cube has the lowest bottom bracket in the test field, which meant that contact with the ground was inevitable and the plastic protection on the motor splintered. Annoying! That too: typical Bosch! But don't worry: the Cube is full of potential for fun, its harmonious geometry makes it lively on the trail and it can handle downhill missions with stoic calm. The long rear end requires a bodybuilder's arm pull for off-road jumps or even manuals. The advantage of the long chainstays: more guidance on climbs without the front wheel rearing up.
ConclusionHigh-quality and harmoniously equipped enduro bike with a full chassis and pleasing handling. The Cube manages the balancing act between smoothness and manoeuvrability.
