The Torque offers a very good price-performance ratio. The short wheelbase makes it more suitable for winding trails than for fast descents.

Canyon trumps when it comes to the quality and practicality of the equipment. The Torque ES 9.0 features parts that are normally reserved for much more expensive bikes. Starting with the Crank Brothers Joplin seatpost, large 203 mm brake discs, harmonious mixed tyres and the short X.9 rear derailleur as the perfect complement to the Hammerschmidt cranks, there is a lot of attention to detail. On the trail, the comparatively light enduro bike spoils you with a high level of steering precision and a sensitive rear triangle, which, when it comes down to it, reveals a usable 165 millimetres of travel. On fast downhills, the bike is slightly nervous due to the high front end and short wheelbase, giving it a somewhat "spindly feel", as Marcus Klausmann noted. On steep climbs, the slack seat tube angle and the offset seat post put a lot of weight on the rear wheel, causing the shock to sag slightly. A slightly slacker head angle in combination with a steeper seat angle would suit the Torque better.

CONCLUSIONThe Torque offers a very good price-performance ratio. The short wheelbase makes it more suitable for winding trails than for fast descents.
