With plenty of suspension travel, low weight and variable chassis, Scott and Cannondale guarantee a wide range of applications. But what can the new wonder bikes really do? A comparison.
Waiting times are nothing new in the bike industry. But when there is a full year between the presentation and the delivery of a bike, it is surprising. After the production problems, we were all the more eagerly awaiting the first rideable Cannondale Claymore. More specifically, the mid-range model for 3799 euros. Cannondale's so-called "overmountain" fun starts at 2999 euros and ends at 5499 euros. Apart from the colour, all three models have the same oversize aluminium frame. The Scott Genius LT 30 for 3599 euros was a worthy opponent in this large-calibre duel. An encounter at eye level.
