Bulls is developing a double battery with BMZ: This is used in all E-MTBs with Shimano motor and offers 750 Wh capacity. If you ride with just one battery, you have a boot on board.

Bulls has the entire motor portfolio on offer: the e-MTBs have a choice of a Brose, Bosch or Shimano motor. For the bikes with Shimano drive, Bulls has developed a two-part battery together with battery specialist BMZ. This will be used in all Bulls E-MTBs with a Shimano motor from February 2018.

The Twin Core battery supplies the E-Core bikes with 750 watt hours of power (375 per battery) and increases the battery capacity by 50 per cent compared to a conventional Shimano battery (504 watt hours). The total capacity is therefore on a par with the Focus Jam²which also relies on two batteries for the Shimano drive. This makes even long tours in the Alps possible. However, the bikes are only supplied with one battery ex works; the second bar-shaped energy reservoir must be purchased separately from the ZEG dealer. The space provided for the second battery in the left-hand side of the down tube is fitted ex works with a storage compartment for tools and a spare inner tube. Thanks to the skilful integration, there is even space for a bottle cage in the frame.

The Evo RS all-mountain bike is the highlight of the E-Core range: for 6499 euros, Bulls leaves nothing to be desired in terms of equipment. The electronic Shimano XT Di2 gears are also powered by the Twin Core battery. The high-quality Fox Factory suspension with 150 millimetres of travel is designed to absorb shocks. In contrast to the wheels (DT Swiss HX 1501 Spline), the suspension elements are not based on e-bike-specific products. With the new Monkey Link System, Bulls plays another trump card when it comes to system integration: This is because lights can be mounted on both the stem and the seat clamp using an integrated magnetic fastener.

The Bulls E-Core Evo EN is for tough use: the enduro bike (or is it a freeride bike after all?) has 180 millimetres of suspension travel. The Rock Shox Lyrik fork works at the front and the Fox Float X2 shock at the rear. The latter offers many adjustment options. Bulls has also fitted the electronic Shimano XT gears and high-quality DT Swiss wheels. Grippy 2.6 Magic Mary tyres keep the bike in contact with the ground. The geometry with a slack head angle and long reach is modern. The price with 375 Wh battery is 6500 euros, the second battery comes on top.

All Bulls models in the Six50 series with Bosch CX motor come with the new Bosch Powertube battery with 500 Wh. The e-mountain bikes with Brose drive can look forward to the new Brose Drive S, which aims to impress with more power but the same sensitivity.
