Bike fitting: a better fit thanks to the Fitting Box
What use is the best bike if it doesn't fit your physique or isn't adjusted to your personal anatomy? The Fitting Box can help.

Several companies have been focussing on "bike fitting" for years, usually involving time-consuming measurements at the dealer. Ergonomics expert Dr Kim Tofaute has developed his Fitting Box (€42 with shipping), a clever little box that allows you to optimise your bike yourself at home. This can be done in five steps (saddle height, saddle angle, rear seat, distance between handlebars and saddle, handlebar height) using a measuring tape, spirit level, plumb line and templates that have to be cut to size.

We think so: Great idea, cleverly implemented and easy to understand. Should not be missing in any biker household!

Stefan Frey is from Lower Bavaria and loves the mossy, loamy trails of the Bavarian Forest as much as the rugged rock of the Dolomites. For technical descents, he is prepared to tackle almost any ascent - under his own steam. As an accessories specialist, he is the first port of call for questions about equipment and add-on parts, while as head of copywriting he sweeps the language crumbs from the pages of the BIKE print editions.
