Lightweight construction for optimum ventilation

The new off-road gloves from Fizik were developed with the aim of offering mountain bikers the best possible comfort in warm weather conditions. To achieve this, the manufacturer relies on a combination of lightweight materials and sophisticated design features. The palm of the gloves is made of perforated suede, which, according to Fizik, not only provides improved ventilation but also ensures a secure grip on the handlebars. A breathable mesh fabric is used between the fingers to maximise air circulation. This combination of materials aims to reduce perspiration and ensure a comfortable fit even on longer rides in the heat. The price is an impressive 49 euros, which is no bargain.

Functional details for improved control

A key feature of the new Fizik off-road gloves is the perforated palm. This should not only improve ventilation, but also provide a better grip on the handlebars. As a result, the manufacturer promises improved control over the bike, which can be particularly advantageous in technically demanding terrain. The gloves also have a minimalist slip-on design without an additional fastener. This should make them easy to put on and take off and at the same time make them more comfortable to wear, as there are no irritating elements on the wrist. The elasticated cuff on the wrist is designed to ensure a secure and comfortable fit without restricting freedom of movement.

Touchscreen compatibility for digital applications

In times of GPS navigation and fitness tracking apps, the operation of touchscreens while riding is also relevant for many bikers. Fizik took this aspect into account when developing the new off-road gloves and equipped them with touchscreen-compatible fingertips. This should make it possible to operate smartphones or GPS devices without having to take off the gloves. This allows mountain bikers to quickly take a photo, adjust their route or check their training data on the go without having to sacrifice the protection and comfort of the gloves. This function emphasises the practical approach that Fizik took when developing the gloves.
