Smartphone-compatible MTB gloves put to the test
If you want to operate your smartphone with a touchscreen while wearing bike gloves, you're usually looking into a black hole. These four models still allow you access.

A quick swipe across the display is usually all it takes and the mobile phone is ready for use. However, modern capacitive touchscreens work via an electric field. However, as bike gloves do not conduct electricity, you often just stare at the locked screen. These four touchscreen-compatible models provide a remedy. Here, conductive threads are sewn into the fingertips of the index finger (O'Neal and Scott) and sometimes also into the thumb (Giro and Specialized). This is intended to keep the display fully operable, even with gloves on. This works perfectly with Giro and Scott. Typing text messages is also easy. With Specialized and O'Neal, the display only reacts after the finger has been slightly moistened or the glove has warmed up a little.
