Rain protection: repairing functional MTB clothing
BIKE explains how you can repair your defective functional clothing and be well protected from the rain again during your tour.

A seam tape on the inside has come loose, or the membrane has a small tear? No need to throw the expensive item in the bin. Here's how to repair small blemishes yourself:

1. detached seam tape often occurs on rainwear, but can be repaired quite easily. First clean the area where the tape has come loose thoroughly with a little white spirit.

TIP: Many outdoor manufacturers, such as Vaude or Löffler, offer a repair service. A tear in the membrane, a broken zip or a lost press stud are no reason to throw away your expensive clothing. Repairs are usually handled by the retailer. Always keep the proof of purchase! There are also companies that specialise in repairing functional clothing, such as Weidner Sportmoden-fabrik: www.weidner-sportmoden.de
