The fabric of the long Fox trousers is designed to be both insulating and breathable, making it unnecessary to put on or take off additional layers of clothing. Thanks to its lightweight lining on the inside, the Kingrock GTX (here in the BIKE test) as the ideal companion for temperatures down to freezing point. However, the strength of the 1127 gram lightweight winter boots lies in their waterproofness. The Goretex membrane and high neoprene collar keep feet dry for hours, even in extremely wet conditions. Water can only penetrate from above if the rain trousers are too short. The cuff is equipped with two tabs for quick and easy entry and exit. The Kingrock has a Velcro strap and a twist fastener to adjust it to the foot. For narrow feet, both adjustments need to be tightened. The Vibram sole also impresses with its high wet grip and good walking comfort.

The membrane of the Jack Wolfskin Morobbia (here in the BIKE test) is 100% recycled and keeps a good seal. The hardshell jacket has a bike-specific but rather wide cut and also works well as a multi-sport jacket. The thermal trousers from Endura are equipped with windproof stretch material on the lower back. The water-repellent material is designed to provide versatile weather protection. The trousers also have two side zips and the waistband is made from flexible stretch. The softshell thermal material also has a stretch section on the calves for an optimum fit.
