The new highlights Underwear collection from Löffler for the spring/summer 2026 season relies on ultra-lightweight Merino wool materialsspecially designed for warm days. The Merino Light range includes singlets and T-shirts, which are produced in the company's own knitting mill at its headquarters in Ried im Innkreis, Austria. With a basis weight of just 129 g/m², the material is particularly light and thin, making it ideal for summer temperatures, according to the manufacturer. The underwear is made from 95 per cent merino wool and 5 per cent elastane, whereby Löffler only uses mulesing-free wool that is certified in accordance with the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS). This emphasises the company's ethical commitment to animal welfare.

The collection is available in different colours: the women's models are available in Bordeaux, Dark Blue and Black, while the men's models are available in Pine, Dark Blue and Black. Sizes range from 34 to 46 for women and 44 to 56 for men. The singlet is priced at 59.99 euros, while the T-shirt costs 69.99 euros.

Functional properties for athletes

The Merino Light underwear is characterised by several functional properties that make it ideal for sporting activities in warm temperatures. The lightweight single knit is elasticated and therefore offers freedom of movement for all types of sport. Thanks to the temperature-regulating properties of merino wool, the underwear should ensure a pleasant body climate even at higher outside temperatures. The fibres feel soft on the skin and, according to the manufacturer, are low-pill, which should increase the longevity of the products.

Another advantage of merino wool is its odour-inhibiting effect. This is particularly beneficial during intensive sporting activities, as the underwear is less likely to develop unpleasant odours than synthetic materials, even after prolonged use. The Merino Light collection also carries the OEKO-TEX MADE IN GREEN certificate, which confirms that the products are made from materials that have been tested for harmful substances and are manufactured in environmentally friendly factories under socially responsible working conditions.

Sustainable production in Austria and Europe

Löffler consistently favours regional production in the manufacture of its sportswear. Around 70 per cent of the fabrics used are produced in-house at the headquarters in Ried im Innkreis. Most of the other production steps such as product development, cutting, sewing, quality control, warehousing and dispatch also take place at the Austrian site. The company only relies on its own subsidiary in Bulgaria and partner companies exclusively within Europe for additional sewing capacity.

This includes the choice of location in Austria and Europe as well as social responsibility towards employees and ecological aspects in production.
