The ultra-lightweight bib from ergo experts SQlab feels like a breath of fresh air, which is not only due to the four millimetre thin, very firm padding.
All seams are welded, the trouser legs are only minimally rubberised and the straps are seamless and sufficiently tight. Lasercuts on the legs and back ensure that the SQ shorts are comfortable to wear. The padding is barely thicker than a layer of chamois leather, but due to the high density it is surprisingly comfortable to sit on, especially on long rides, without pushing through. However, the SQlab ONE12R-Short does have one drawback: its high price.
